| Mike Carlson Named Acting GM of Carlson Systems Engineering PRESS RELEASE Carlson Systems Engineering Has New Leadership OMAHA, NE -- Carlson Systems Engineering, LLC., has announced that Mike Carlson has been named as the acting General Manager for the company, a machinery manufacturer serving the North American fenestration, cabinetry and furniture industries. The announcement was made by the management committee for the company’s parent organization, Carlson Holdings, Inc. Mike currently serves as a member of that committee, and as corporate Vice President – Marketing for the parent company. Mr. Carlson has a 17-years professional career with the holding company and its primary subsidiary, Carlson Systems, LLC, serving in several management and leadership positions. He also has a lifetime’s worth of experience with company – which was founded in 1947 by his grandparents, Carl and Julia Carlson, and currently, his father, Don Carlson, is Chairman of the Board. The company is primarily a distributor of product assembly systems and supplies to industrial, packaging and industrial customers. Mike earned a B.S. degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Drake University, and a MBA in Marketing from Notre Dame University. Mr. Carlson is also a CPA, and worked with the former Arthur Andersen LLP in the firm’s Chicago corporate offices prior to resuming his career with Carlson Systems in 1989. Carlson Systems Engineering, LLC., has a 30-year history of providing quality assembly and fabrication systems for wood window, cabinetry, furniture and storm door manufacturing. In May 2003, the company acquired Wegoma, Inc., a long-standing supplier of cellular and automated machinery for processing PVC and aluminum extrusions, primarily for fenestration applications. Currently, the company operates two manufacturing facilities in Omaha, Nebraska and Twinsburg, Ohio.
